9/25/22 - "Limitless"

**NEW PAINTING ALERT**

Today is a good day!

Have been feeling the urge to really dig back in lately and had some time and was able to knock out a new one.

I started this one a few days ago, we went to the State game yesterday so I wasn't able to work on it but today, we had some quiet time around the house and could really put some time into this one.

Take a look at this one and let me know what you think in the comments. This is going back to some of my first paintings where I was doing all abstract.

This is Painting #53 in my collection and it's called "Limitless".

If you or someone you know would be interested in purchasing this painting, I just put this up  today. Get in touch with me through the site and we can make it happen.

Have a great Sunday everyone!!

9/22/22 - "Untamed Nature"

So I have been tinkering around a bit lately with something a little out there. lol

With the whole new show "House Of Dragon / Game Of Thrones thing, I was feeling a bit inspired to try something and yet try to keeping with the abstract thing.

It's not going to be everyone's thing but I believe it turned out pretty cool none the less.

This is Painting #52 and it's called "Untamed Nature".

Check it out and let me know your thoughts.

If you are interested in purchasing this painting, I just put it up for sale, go over to the painting section and reach out to me if you are interested.

Thanks guys!!!

Justin

9/21/22 - "Our Beliefs, Our Society"

I have always loved this painting.

I definitely took a chance with this one and was trying something different and got a very unexpected (but very welcome) outcome.

It's funny though because this painting has really had a bit of a checkered past.

While most paintings, when someone is interested in it, we discuss the details and it's done. Sold and it's on it's way to it's new home.

With this one...It's been shown in a gallery showing and was almost sold 3 times in the same night to 3 different people. Then on top of that, I've had like 4 other people over, the years, tell me they wanted it, were ready to make the purchase and something would always come up and it just never happened. lol

It's ironic that this keeps happening because honestly, I just love having it on my wall so I'm ok with it. lol Some day, the right buyer will see it and will make it happen, till then, my family and I get to continue to enjoy it.

This is #7 in my collection and it's called "Our Beliefs, Our Society".

If you or someone you know would like this painting, it's currently for sale. Get in touch with me and we will make it happen.

Thanks!

Justin

9/12/22 - "Echoes".

This painting is one of my darker toned ones.

But as I have stated before, I truly believe that it's through our darker times in life that we can reflect on who we are and how we will act / react to specific things, while striving to come out of those moments in a happier, much more fulfilled place.

This painting also has a poem that I wrote years ago (1994 to be exact) written on it (Named "Echoes") and while this is a short little poem, I feel this can truly reflect depth and loneliness.

Echoe's
By Justin Babcock
Date: 1994

Behind the eyes of a child, I hear echoes of a youth once lost.
The seasons have hindered his sense of reality, though the sun tells the truth.

Sorrow has left him to the things around him.
All these hours without a thought of freedom.

Goodbye my love.

~Silence~

This is # 43 in my collection. This is called "Echoes".

Thank you everyone!

9/9/22 - "The Beautiful Dead".

It's difficult to express the love I have for this painting...

When I started her, I wasn't sure exactly how it was going to go as I was experimenting with a style I'd never worked on before. But, as she started to take shape, I knew I was onto something special.

By the time I had finished her, I was pretty much enthralled with the picture and concept completely. I was VERY HAPPY with how she turned out and couldn't wait to share her.

I put the painting online and shortly after I had a gentlemen contact me. He was opening a new restaurant in Minnesota and was like "I MUST HAVE THIS"...haha I get it...and I was happy to work with him on making that happen.

We discussed cost and shipping and "boom", I was out the door to get her to him.

I must admit, it made me sad boxing her up and never seeing her again but I knew she was going where she belonged and that's perfectly ok with me.

I love how the Universe does that sometimes. Just makes things work out just the way they are supposed to. LOVE THAT!

Here she is...

Painting #30 in my collection called "The Beautiful Dead".

8/30/22 - The Launching of my new site.

Hello everyone,

Thank you for visiting my brand-new art site...www.justinbabcockart.com.

As you can imagine, this is going to be the place where I plan to showcase all of my latest art endeavors as well as a place for us to collaborate on anything you may be interested in.

I'm hoping to slowly rebuild my arsenal of paintings again so I can once again start pushing all of my new work through galleries and show casings as well as continue to offer some of my older stuff on here too.

I will be building my music page; wood working page and may even expand to photography I've done and poetry.  WHATEVER I FEEL LIKE AT THAT TIME!  lol

Anyhow, again, thank you very much for all of your support over the years and here's to making new memories and filling our world with art!!
